ART Camp, Portland Maine
During my time at the ART camp in Portland, Maine, I had the incredible opportunity to teach dance and theater to a diverse group of children, from pre-K to 8th grade. Over the course of six weeks, I worked closely with the kids, guiding them in dance for performances. Every two weeks, we showcased their hard work and creativity in culminating performances that brought joy and excitement to the camp community. It was a rewarding experience to watch their confidence grow as they expressed themselves through movement and storytelling.

I choreographed and performed Ashley Bryan's Beautiful Blackbird," a captivating story that celebrates the beauty of diversity. Through this journey, I had the incredible opportunity to tour the production across Maine, sharing its powerful message with various audiences. The experience was not only fulfilling but also allowed me to connect with communities and inspire others to embrace their uniqueness. Each performance was a celebration of culture and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to choreograph a West African piece for the opera performance of Aida. The experience was both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to explore the rich cultural elements of West African dance. Performing it at Merrill Auditorium, one of Maine's largest venues, was truly exhilarating, as the energy from the audience amplified the passion of the performance. It was a memorable night that celebrated the fusion of different artistic traditions.
